There's no change in signals yet with my COT work. Still long since July. I'll still post
the next SHORT signal, but I don't see that on the horizon. Others have various opinions,
which makes for a market.
The track record for this indicator is very good (80%+ correct calls over 12 years using
only one input). Been using it in real-time for a few years. I can't complain.
Basically, I don't see why the market needs to fall apart here. Look at those lopsided
down volume days, and that one 90% up volume day. The market is not symetrical
when comparing upside and downside (market's fall faster than they rise). I don't
make forecasts, but my reaction to current price action is to buy. If I'm wrong, I'm stopped
out.
OK, there's my neck. Will the market chop it off? Let's see

I'll stick my neck out again

I thought your COT indicator got long in mid-August (based on TT posts). Would you please double-check? I am just trying to recall from memory, because it was a good indicator and I used to track your posts then.
It is not the doing that is difficult, but the knowing
It's the illiquidity, stupid !

Got long right at the end of June actually, then flipped flopped in August from short to long within 2 weeks. I only allocate as much as 10% of my portfolio to any one index trade. The idea is to use a suite of trading systems, each allocated a certain percentage.
OK, I'm gone for now...I'll be back when there's a sell signal. Just trying to voice some thoughts when things look bleak for some.

Hey Danzman,
Thanks a lot for posting -- I really appreciate your perspective and interests. We went down, up, and now are getting the "other shoe" as far as another down leg or at least a test of the recent lows.
Best,
Doug
