Currently running gas and ready to convert my wifes SUV to LPG or ?

I'm doing my homework but thought I would ask if anyone has done research on this or actually converted.

Hmm let's see, I'm owning commodities and oil and now converting the family SUV.

Don't. Mileage drops, and there are few places to fill up, unless there is one by you and you only stay close to it. If you ever need to go long distance, good luck.

How does milage compare ?? LP in my area is about a $1.00 a lb.

I think LPG is a lot more available than ethanol.
How do think they're filling up all those BBQs

The figures I see usually have LPG getting roughly 20% less fuel mileage than gasoline. LPG is often a mix of butane and propane, and a gallon of it goes about 4.5 pounds. @ $1 per pound and correcting for the lesser fuel mileage it'd be equivalent to gasoline at well over $5 per gallon. Doug

Go bio-diesel! ;) I love the concept and see it for sale at some stations. It's even cheaper if you get your own tank. Mark
