Folks, The moderators are working overtime policing political stuff or potentially political stuff. I've said this before, but we have many new folks here, and it's also possible that some regulars have forgotten. This site is for discussion of trading, technical analysis, investment, and money management. Sure, market psychology and sentiment are part of that. Even a bit of fundmental stuff is valuable. What we DON'T want is a bunch of politics or conspiracy stuff. No good can come of such. In addition to being off topic (which is not something that we freak out about, but it does put a post at risk of invisibility), it creates an ongoing hostile environment. This environment sets the stage for ongoing flame wars and a degradation of the signal to noise ratio. It'll kill this community. I might also add that there are people with whom you get to be friends with and with whom you get to share money making ideas. If you get into something political with them, it's going to poison a good and enriching relationship. Is it worth it? I mean, really? Think about the possible wealth you're going to waste or not make because of something that won't be changed one iota by your behavior. You won't change the outcome of an election or a vote but you will leave scorched earth here and will poison profitable friendships. Don't do it. We won't allow it and we'll take ever-more strenuous action to stop it. The moderators and I are all of one mind on this one. And remember, when you indulge in the political posting, you're showing tremendous disrespect to the fellow who has a strong opinion to add but who has the maturity and respect for our community to allow him to bite his tongue (or fingers as the case may be). To all those who show such restraint, thank you. You're great members of this community and all of us who love it appreciate you. Mark Young Founder Traders-talk.com

Folks,

The moderators are working overtime policing political stuff or potentially political stuff.

One poster has implied that politics affects the markets, but I say that no one has proven such has any utility to a trader nor that there's a RELIABLE relationship between political nonsense and market action. Regardless, it's all in the technicals. You don't need anything else, except a bit of peace to evaluate them. ;) Remember, this policy has been in place from day one. Carl I think did the same thing back in the early 90's. There's a reason why this is the longest continuously running technical analysis message boards on the 'Net. If you want to talk politics, take it to Fib's board. KIDDING! Take it to yahoo, or someplace where making a life-long enemy won't cost you a ton of money and disrupt a wonderful community. Mark

Mark, sounds like it is time to take TT to PAY per View, or in other words, a subscription based site.

Sorry for my under toned politic implications regarding oil....darn black gold! It all those dead gazillion year old dead animals fault if I can place blame! Great site. Thanks for doing such an awesome job. So easy to get side lined in the markets when watching cnbc too much....since they have an excuse for the markets direction every day no matter what! Happy Easter everyone!
