Indexes are relatively flat, SMH is going straight up, breadth at new highs, OEX p/c ratio is huge. When did I see it last time? Oh yes, end of February. Denleo

Yes, just sold my SMH. I think we're going to get a little retracement in here so I can buy some more soon... :) SMH is up here on vapor trails for volume, so I had to go... ditto with Nasdaq etc. etc. etc. Oh and speaking of volume divergences and vapor trails compare MRVL to INTC today... So that was enough to cancel the bullish case at least temporarily for me...

I think the FED will need to print faster. And I need to transfer my wealth out of Dollar denominated assets faster. Even US stocks are underperforming other stocks.

The strength in AMAT, INTC and KLAC had Feds written all over it. After all these Fed buzzards never heard of MRVL...

The drillers are also going straight up and they have more volume, the liquidity is spilling over to the semis, I would think the semis are still bouncing from the oversold levels with the poor volume. Can it go straight up again? I wish (easy short), I am also looking for more retracement actually. I had them both (oils and semis) and I will sell them at the close. I hope the volatility will not just die...

I wonder if China understands how are high tech industry works... depending on stock options to attract
engineering talent from all over the world... boy if I were a central planner it would be tempting to
drive the US tech stocks into the ground.

...Not a conspiracy theory, just a thought.

The OEX P/C definitely has my attention. I took a little off the table today. I'm willing to add even more at higher prices if I'm wrong. I'm just going to watch until the OEX P/C returns to normal and the market breaks from this range.

I can tell you exactly how they work here. They try to hire Americans for the same price they would pay in China... The thing they do not understand yet, but they will learn like the Japanese, Koreans and Taiwanese that preceded them is this: When the consolidation is over and growth resumes in the chip industry and it will, they will not be able to compete for people... and their people will be recruited by other companies... I've seen it happen many times before and I have no reason to suspect this time will be any different...
