Johngeorge, thanks for mentioning GMO - I'd never heard of it. And good grief yes -- what a move that's been recently, so "pullback" it is....whew. I saw nothing at the website about uranium, though...?For me energy is still in play with XOM and Canroys paying good dividends while waiting for the prices to move up. Also looking to pick up uranium GMO and FRG on pullbacks. Dont own any uranium stocks I don't buy Canadian exhange stocks...I have to pay too much..so US exchange stocks are for me.
FRG is a GOOD one to have!
On the Canroys...I held when I should not have, but they've turned around a good bit now. Most I have is of HTE and it's been a good year so far and the big dividends are still coming in.
Doug
Dang, Dude -- great copper trade, and the futures are down over 8 cents today, so trebly well done. Man, think of it -- in the old days a move of 8 cents was unthinkable.Hiker: it is not likely that copper is going to have an easy time making successive weekly closes above 3.60-3.66 H resistance established before the decline to the recent lows. Who knows? just possibilities I am throwing out here. Commodities markets by their nature are full of surprises.
Of course, uranium going up for 4 years surprises no one? except those late to the party because of lack of acceptance about uranium as a tradeable sector.
btw, I have had 40% of my trading account in copper futures in recent weeks...now flat that trade. Giving it a breather.
I hear you on the stout resistance the Copper got into. The only thing that surprised me was how fast it came off the bottom and went up.
Uranium as a commodity -- heck, even there we could get slammed -- a "Three Mile Island" type deal happens somewhere around the world, who knows... indeed?

Hi Doug
Sorry to have mislead you on GMO as a uranium stock. Please accept my apology. While I was typing my response to your post I was multi tasking and that is an obvious no-no for me. See Cirrus's comments in above post on GMO mining stock. However it sure was a rocket!
The stock I was thinking of was EMU. Here is a description of it from msn money central:
Energy Metal Corporation, formerly known as Clan Resources Ltd., is in the business of acquiring, exploring and developing uranium mineral properties in the United States. On March 10, 2006, Energy Metals completed the acquisition of Standard Uranium Inc. In June 2006, Energy Metals sold its interest in the Dewey Burdock deposit in Fall River and Custer counties, South Dakota to Powertech Uranium Corporation. In December 2006, Energy Metals Corporation's wholly owned subsidiary, Golden Predator Mines Inc., completed the acquisition of Springer Mining Company from General Electric Company.
You mentioned holding some stocks too long.......boy oh boy......if I had $10 for the times I held too long my new car last year would have been paid for in cash.
Best to you

Johngeorge -- yes, and in fact that's my biggest position. Been a great stock and a multi-bagger it is already. I had a fair bit of EMC (EMU on the NYSE) and some Standard Uranium and a LOT of Quincy Energy, which Energy Metals merged with at the same time it was buying Standard. Quincy had been a penny stock that finally got over $1.00 before Energy Metals merged with it. Don't remember my basis with Quincy but the shares of EMU that I have now because of it are my biggest gains of all.The stock I was thinking of was EMU. Quite the bullish close on EMU today, right at the high. From the March low it ran up over 53% to the recent high (in all of 25 trading days), and after that I'd think we'd get some weeks of pause/retracement, but haven't got much yet. Monthly and weekly charts look like up, up, up to me.
URRE is another US uranium producer.
Best,
Doug
