Make of it as you will, but its st frothy IMO. Markets US markets rose yesterday with the Dow Jones closing at another new record high and the S&P 500 hitting its highest level in over six years. The Dow is now enjoying its best winning streak since 1955, following 21 gains out 24 sessions to rise 7.4%, 52 years ago the blue chip index managed 22 out of 25 to rise 10%. Strong profit reports, lower oil prices, takeover news and a strong read on manufacturing sent the market higher. New orders at US factories rose a greater than expected 3.1% in March, boosted by rising orders for civilian aircrafts. The Dow Jones gained 75.7 points to finish at 13,211.9, the S&P 500 added 9.6 points to end at 1,495.9. The Nasdaq jumped 26.31 points to close at 2,557.84.

the big wildcard will be next week when China open up again. What will happen after a week of pent up demand? and what will be the reaction to them raising bank reserve requirements? they could blow thru 4000 and go the 5000 or it could crash after hitting 4k. will be interesting to watch. I've posted several times that one thing that may derail this bull is OIL. crude if it were to go to $78 and esp if it breaks thru it to above $80 would take this baby down. they'd have to raise rates to make people think it is an inflationary thing instead of peak oil
