I gotta get out more!
As I posted previously, fishing near the full moon yields above average results.
So today I stopped by a small lake and the fish were jumping on my hook!
I caught one about every 5 minutes for over an hour and then they stopped like the switch was turned off.
Weird how it works.
They were nice sized fish and I brought one home to a local pond where kids fish.
I also spotted a red headed centipede almost a foot long.
The moon brings out lots of big stuff.

This baby will live & bite again!

May 9th is the Fed. decision.
May 10th is the Last Quarter moon.
According to this chart, that has a tendency to precede a 2 week market low.
Interesting what Airedale said on May 3rd:

we're 37 days along on the nominal 10 wk cycle, approx 9/10 days till that bottom is due.

RD -- i caught a half dozen bass once -- one right after another in rapid succession. i caught the biggest one first and they got progressively smaller and then the switch turned off and i didn't catch anything else but a couple of very small bluegills.

did you catch the biggest fish first?

oh, $49 got me 14.4 gallons of regular today.

No. The last two were the biggest.
You shoulda seen the one that got away...

I caught about a dozen bluegill but they were the largest I had seen in years.
Caught about 4 largemouth bass.

I was fishing between the Tulsa Raceway and the National Guard air strip.
Dragsters were taking off every few minutes followed by the National Guards F-16 Night Falcons constantly flying manuvers low overhead.

Maybe the fish were trying to get out of there, or just trying to see what was happening.
