I thought I'd pick on $VLE for awhile. Pretty clean cursor work, no? B)

Right about now, you're maybe hoping it's the other herd's turn for this. This makes
great stuff to pull over your eyes, by the way. :P

BTW, my longterm charts like that $VLE are for market context only. Context being: I'm a Rydex swing trader, and at this point, I'm not scaling in for "the big one" unless I see resistance once again broken, complete with aggravated divergences (a blowoff if you will). Under those conditions, I'll look at the odds for scaling in and holding onto a swing short. Should a real reversal happen before that, I'm going to miss the initial thrust, and most likely the entire 1st leg of it.

I got well-doned by the 6/29/06 jobs report, so all shorts I've taken since then have been pint-sized, infrequent and aborted within 24 hours. All of them have been strictly for the purpose of initiating a possible scaling in of a swing short position, and not for the big or quick profit. Honestly, the short side of my trades since then were in the hole between until 2/27/07, which got me evened up on them. I've done only one other small overnight short since then for a tiny profit.

As it stands this weekend, I'm flat except for a strengthening dollar position I took on Wednesday. Kind of a proxy for a short position, but there's a little more to it than than.

Thanks for the detail, it helps to know what one is doing
trading wise, when reading their charts and forecasts.

I've not done well shorting for a considerable time.
I should have been more short going into 2-27
other than just a hedge.

One chart I failed to check would have made alot of money.
The puts ballooned a couple days in advance. CCI +400.
Rare signal, but you got to take it.
