Washingtonpost.com
They Should Have Seen This Coming

"16 fortune tellers in Philadelphia have been shut down after the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections was alerted to an antiquated state law banning fortune-telling "for gain or lucre." All for-profit "storefront psychics, astrologers, phrenologists and tarot-card readers" may soon face police action. It remains unclear whether ethnic or religious prognosticators will be similarly sanctioned and why a city with America's highest murder rate would choose to spend its limited resources on such pursuits."

In an unrelated news article:
NINA WANG, Asia's richest woman until her death from cancer this month, has left her $A4.7 billion estate to her fortune teller.

And then this from the past. (Johnny Carson probably):
ANNOUNCEMENT:
The International Association of Clairvoyants have announced arrangements have been made for a special meeting.
(If you are one, you'll know where and when.)

;)

One was a midget and escaped through the bars of the cell. The headline was: "Small medium at large."

I am in the visual effects business, we fool people daily. :) Honestly, storefront psychics, astrologers, phrenologists and tarot-card readers are all part of the entertainment business. These people only need to get a proper license and serve with a simple disclaimer that they carry no liability...
