I'm seeing -4.X% and rising. That's not looking too bad and it's early. But I'm looking at Yahoo and those values may be delayed.

Yahoo, Rim

You are looking at the delayed data.

Losing 4%=not too bad? WOW! Of course, that would be on top of the last couple slaps as well. I wonder if the dow had a down 4% day if people would remain as complacent? Do people blowing up one bubble get worried when they see another bursting> Time will tell.

"Not Too Bad" as in the day wasn't over, it had a long way to go, the index was rising (per yahoo quotes) not falling, and could even be positive by the close. Yeah, I don't see a 4% swing as the end of the world, not if it's just a swing.

I would agree that a 4% drop by the close, or 8% is a solid hit. But 4% and rising when someone just said it was crashing and down 7% relatively didn't seem too bad. Of course, as I suspected, redfoliage2 was getting live quotes and mine were delayed.

Yipes! Down > -7%. What's it called when a correction is over but prices keep on tanking? Do they have a circuit breaker there?
