I see fear among bulls missing the next big rally.
I see fear among bears getting caught in the next big squeeze.

5 years of training will do it to anybody. Add crashing bonds to the picture and you get an ingridient for something nasty.

I would wager plenty that there's a mindset out there that goes like this...
"Don't worry, the PPT will rescue me."
The problem is I sincerely believe that a ST nasty crunch in the markets (and not the economy) is VERY desirable right now by the 'PPT and company'. It's a necessity to set up the next wave of liquidity which will begin in late summer IMO. This move will set the stage for the next advance--rates, commodities markets and the restoration of respect for 'market forces'.
