I overheard a conversation today concerning a potential problem with the iPhone. The slick touch screen requires more eye time to dial than a button phone. Since at least half of all calls in this town are made while madly driving down the highway, this should limit their attractiveness. Alternately if they are popular, the users, more distracted than the normal idiot driving and dialing, will have a greater tendancy to ram the car in front of them thusly taking them out of the phone market and gene pool.

Cell phones should be outlawed while driving with heavy penalties for violators.

Speaking as one who's wife totaled out our car as well as our neighbor's brick mailbox while attempting to dial a cell phone, statistics supposedly show that billboards are a big cause of accidents.

Maybe the iphone will include voice dialing capabilities.

According to an Athens traffic official, roadside ads are responsible for 10% of all accidents.

One look at her is enough to cause any red blooded male to drive into a building.

Regarding cell phones, it depends on the complexity of the conversation as to how distracting it is, if you are talking about meeting someone at sometime it does not require much brain power, if you are talking about quantum mechanics then some of your driving neurons may become diverted, this is based on some serious research I have seen.
