With interest rate on the uptrend for Europe and China USD may become a source of cheap money in the near future, i.e. USD will remain in the down trend unless the Fed raises the rate soon.Will it get some support here ... or keep sliding?

I read somewhere this weekend that the Bank of England was going to raise its equivalent to the Fed Funds rate today (to 5.75% I think). Anyone know if it happened? That wouldn't be good for the dollar.
