Go figure. A very unusualy high volume of equity calls today. Unusual because this kind of volume occurs mostly during expiration, and we are 1 week away. Those purple lines are expirations.
I have no idea what this means, though.
Also the average options trading volume is MUCH higher then last year. Only once during the whole last year calls volume spiked that high. This year its a norm pretty much. Derivatives exploding, I guess.
Either way, equity put/call today closed at 0.48 Pretty exciting. I guess everyone is positioning for the rally.

I think it means there is a speculation frenzy going on. With the downtrend in
housing, most of the speculation money is going into the
market. I am counting on this pig go higher.
