Hi everyone, there was heavy put buying compared to call buying in the equities and the indices. As of the close of trading on Tuesday, the CPC P/C was 1.48, the CPCI was 3.13, the CPCE was .79, and the CPCI:CPCE was 3.96 just below its upper BB, see the CPCI:CPCE chart below. The SPX P/C soared to 4.90, the XSP P/C rocketed to 5.1, the MNXP/C jumped to 4.92, and the QQQQ P/C rose to 2.56. IMHO, there wil be a DCAT bounce on Wednesday and/or Thursday; the rally may be extended depending on the results of AAPL's earnings which will be out as of the close of trading on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Both the QQQQs and AAPL were down on very heavy volume which IMVHO, the MMs will want to distribute during the potential DCAT rally. They will then go short preparatory to the next decline which will most likely ensue after the DCAT rally. IBM closed down on 175M shares, and AAPL closed down on 64M shares, twice AAPL's average daily volume. Keep an eye on the daily and weekly VIX, VXN, VXO, and QQV charts during the potential DCAT rally and the ensuing decline. Note, the VIX and the QQV are near their upper TLs and most likely will have a downward retracement on Wednesday and/or Thursday.

niec analysis, i am of the same opinion for the same reasons apparently. i will be looking to go long tomorrow morning after futures retest today's lows. I think with tight stops there is potential to make money on the dcat rally and it might extend far enough with newly entered shorts covering in frustration.
