IF we're in an IT decline, and not a pit stop, then I suppose this poll needs to get a bit uglier. Wish I had longer term data on this.. The Rasmussen Consumer Index fell nearly four points on Thursday to 110.9. That's two and a half points lower than its reading a week ago, but is a two and a half point gain from its reading a month ago. Nationally, 24% believe economic conditions in the country are getting better these days. Meanwhile, 58% feel conditions are worsening and 14% say the economy is staying about the same. The Rasmussen Investor Index plummeted a little over eight points today to 136.3. That's down two and a half points from a week ago, but is seven points higher than a month ago. Today's Index is also five points above June's full-month average. . . . . The Rasmussen Investor Index reached its highest level ever at 150.9 on January 7, 2004. The lowest level ever measured was 91.1 on March 13, 2003.
