We have been trained in the USA to always think positive. To be a contrarian or pessimistic will not be accepted-------unless you want to be considered a loser. Many of my baby boomer friends have asked me-------why are you so pessimistic on the market. Liquidity will always be there, the market does go down but not for long. You are a fool for not being 100% long the market in your 401k. Look at my portfolio---compared to yours---why do yo keep so much in cash?--they ask. My response---you have been trained to be positive-----win, win, win--------you have no respect for the so called loser who wants to win just as bad as you do!!!
