Cad, I had a model like that for years. It tore the cover off the ball in the 90's, then it went sloppy on me. I do know that the Relative VIX is a pretty darned good bottom spotter. Mark

Mark, What kind of bottom do you think the relative Vix is spotting , a short term trading bottom or an I-T bottom ? KS

An interim bottom, from yesterday. We can go back down there and even lower next week. In fact, I think we do. Check out last summer's readings. Mark

I just don't think the decline is done yet, either sentiment-wise, or structure-wise. Mark

I agree with you, but the lows are probably in for a while, it will be a retest...


One or two more day of a drop would not really reverse a V-shaped rally idea here though, it would be nearly a doji for the week and probably still bullish since it still shows no follow through after the big drop last week...
