I do not like to do this and it is not really something we need for trading/investing.

I remember when "The Man Show" first came out and they got lots of people to sign a petition to "End Women's Suffrage". It was surprising, even to me, how many people signed. In addition to showing us how stupid/intellectually lazy many folks are, it also shows us how good natured folks are, too. Mark

it is sad, but a universally used trick. Remeber, the venue was an environmental event - so people's guards are down, thinking only like minded folks would be there, or at least their nemeses wouldnt dare pass around a petition. Still, left or right, it shows, even more than the folly of how dumb people can be, but how trusting people are - they will give their help to anything that sounds like something they stand for, especiially if presented by a trustworthy seeming source (e.g. someone that looks like them) ... remember, the pols didn't create a law to allow more air pollution and then name it the Clean Skies Act for nothing! klh

When I was young I thought no nukes was a good idea. Now I realize nuclear power if implemented appropriately and freely 20 years ago could have prevented much air pollution and possibly the nasty war in the middle east because we would have had less dependency on oil. It just goes to show you idealism can go wrong.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.

DiHydrogen Monoxide kills thousands of people every year. Especially in those environmentally un-friendly plastic bottles. It should be banned. Where do I sign? I saw Penn & Teller in Vegas. Loved the bunny in the wood shredder trick. Blood and fur everywhere! :bones: They are almost as sick as The Amazing Jonathan.

"Please get on board folks--Let's ban water!!"

I think it's a near perfect example of "extraordinary popular delusions and the madness of crowds". ;)
“Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, one by one.” Charles Mackay, Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds
