I covered some shorts to take profit (10%, 5%, 4%) and raise money. Entries and exits are posted in TW board. The money will be deployed to add more SRS, if SRS drops below 98. I see a bounce (1 week) coming. If it does not materialize, I will let my other shorts run wait for the next opportunity.

You are making a lot of very good calls, I'll attempt to come up with your figure of $600 on SRS this weekend. It could be a lot of fun.

greenie,

can you share your though on why you see a bounce coming now versus earlier in the week when a lot of us were expecting one?

$600 SRS is equivalent to IYR=30. It is the fair value, IMHO. Washout value, however, would be IYR=~15 or less (SRS=3000).

I am not a good short-term trader. So, please take any of my short-terms calls with reasonable doubt.

Here are the reasons.
1. NYLOW, NYMO, NAMO diverges with SPX, NYA.
2. DJR did not make a new low as SPX etc did. DJR had been leading the market so far.
3. CPCE looks a bit too high.
4. Some good IT traders, whom I follow here, are now bullish.
5. Cramer's latest rambling.

Also, although I am making a call for a bounce, it could be small and I am keeping most of my shorts intact.
I have been trying to catch a bottom for last 3 days with limited success. Went long SSO early Wed, sold on Thu for small profit and added positions on couple of REIT shorts. I do all these in my trading account to keep my mind away from my 'sell and hold portfolio' and do something stupid.
