one of the most interesting things about economic and financial history is how often real estate busts have preceded and augmented equity collapses. the real estate market topped in 1926 here in the united states; it started down in japan before the huge equity decline in the nineties; the mississippi real estate bubble burst in january of 1720 before the south seas bubble topped near the new moon in july of 1720. that 1720 collapse was an avalanche of historic proportions; this one is at least as big, probably bigger. you are witness to history. how to play it ? hold on to this thought: the winners in situations like this are the survivors.
