OK, I can't tell if the Ruts is saying that the S&P is a Buy or if the RUT's just a short. Or if it's a short and the S&P's a long...
It's telling us SOMETHING, however.

i think the rut has made its price low and needs to be tested. Its secondary test will be the price low for the spx and ndx.

It's telling us SOMETHING, however.
this has been my thinking for days - however i think its neither - at this point i think its all about what's caused the damage - so when financials and/or housing (xlf, bkx, xbd, hgx) become a buy, so will the market

do you have put call ratios for small caps?You may be right. NORMALLY, relative strength in the RUT is bullish, but now I think it's all short-covering.
And they are raising cash in more liquid issues.
