my tell has been the regional bank index, ACBQ, up over 3% today and never took out last weeks lows. Time to go long!
mark,
i thought it was telling this morning that ER2 held August 6th lows. There is definitely underlying strength there...might change by EOD, but as of now - its the place to be if long apparently.

When we turn, the Rut will be up 5% in two days.
Covering a profitable short is very easy to do quickly. Or rather, it's very easy to WANT to do quickly.

I think covering in time is one of the hardest things to do in trading. Bounces/rallies happen so quickly that seasoned shorters are proned to covering for they do not want to get nailed - again. Tops are always a long and agonizing process so there is more time to act.
At least that has been my experience as of late, which could be a bull market type phenomena. Granted last few weeks it apparently has been the opposite, but being short now is scary even though there could be more downside potential.

purchased R2K fd yesterday - looking for a run back to 800 if she continues to hold up - if not, looking to exit near 770/75 - that's about 5% or so - will also consider flipping short at these levels too - mkts moving fast - dont blink
