Bear Slide

Tumble tumble, down we GO
Where it stops, we do not KNOW
It could shudder, it could shake
For some, for sure, it's shake 'n bake

The hill is steep, the hill is high
Started way up in the sky
And where it ends, we do not know
Market maker is the foe

So catch a knife, and have a ball
Or slice your hand, as tickers fall
What fun the game, what fun the chance
Like naked wrestling, belly dance

 Oh, but we DO know! We've now had a 10% correction, so the "volatility" {that's all it was anyway} has ended and it's all up from here. I heard it on CNBC.... ;)

Aloha, gentle island man ... hope you missed the bad Hawaiin weather. And yes, many bottom callers ... but I'm not so sure. We'll know soon enough. :) Swim time in Barton Springs, (it's not Maui, but close enough) C.C. :headspin:

Swim away and enjoy! In August it doesn't have to be Maui- it's a universal time for summer fun everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere. Yes Flossie missed, but she did stir up the trades and the rains a bit. I enjoyed it. :)

On a serious note, I am struck today by the seeming unanimity of "recognition" of a bottom. The expectations vary from "scorch dead ahead", to "today's lows marked the spot from which the base will be built for the big rally to come"- but the conclusion is the same- UP from here. It's not just here, but all over CNBC- where Maria and company were positively giddy at the end of the day today.

Everybody's looking up. Is anybody looking down (other than for successful retests)? If so they are keeping pretty silent today.

The little contrarian voices who speak to me in my quiet moments are saying "not so fast....countertrend rallies aside, it's just not over yet". I think you may be hearing 'em too. ;) B) Very Best my friend, D

These Bear Markets are like recurring train wrecks. Going to take these bulls awhile to figure this out... We could wake up tomorrow morning and have a big bank or fund failure hit the news... It would not be the first time we've seen a big spike up in the last hour ahead of the bad news that comes the next day...

Yeah baby, come to me :P I have been waiting for you for several months after bailing out....yes come a little closer to my comfort level and I will catch the falling knife :D But I am not ready yet to take the plunge!! Even Hank Paulson said today that there may be some ugly news coming out which we don't know yet. Yeah baby, just come down to my level and my arms are waiting for you
