We're right on the edge of it... another day of bearish upthrust... volume last 2 sessions is vapor... I think there's a lotta bulls just praying and hoping the Fed, Treasury, Fukui or anyone else can get them back to those prices they paid on huge volume all the way down here so the bagholders can salvage some of their longs. One thing for sure, fundamentally, things have changed... I had a nice chat with mortgage broker fishing buddy of mine today... I won't bore you with all the frightening details... most homeowners know a mortgage broker, you can hear your own horror stories... I nibbled on some QID today on the bearish upthrust off the test of Friday's highs... The stop is break 2535 on volume... (.618)

Semi, I was going to observe that there is a BB squeeze on the 60 cubes which looks like it is starting to resolve in the last hour. It "should" resolve sharply up. But, then I read that Bush is speaking to reassure investors, which is likely a kiss of death for the bull.

Bubba Bands aside, looks to me like we're going to get a gap fill... this volume is putrid.

1.7 bil shares is putrid ? Normal average volume. Nothing wrong with that.
Of course if you're comparing it to 3 bil volume days we had last couple weeks. But that volume was unusual.
1.7 bil is just fine.

VOLUME SUCKS !!

Sucks for what? Its not like the market is going up, its just churning sideways. If volume was high and we were going sideways it would probably be distribution, this appears to be quite healthy.

No, what you look for is high volume at these flat lines... that is an indication of moving higher. The lack of volume suggests a volume decline ahead... Here, take a look what happened off the March low...

The declining volume and sideways move was the tip that the low would be retested.
