why are all the volumes 10K..too round and neat to be believable for these many strike prices..maybe check another source and more importantly OI when it gets updated 6:30 am Monday

The data is correct. They are probably spreads. But this market observer insists they are covered calls and interprets it very bearishly.

Do players with that kind of money make flat out bets? I have my doubts.

Those have to be "bullish call spreads". They buy the calls at lower level, and sell the calls at a higher strike. This trade has 10k paired at 6 higher and 6 lower strikes. the 60 strikes are married to the 90's, and so on. This is not a bearish position!!!!! If it were covered calls, who was the buyer? how would you get people to step up and buy? The prices were not lowered to make them more attractive.
:redbull: (if there trader is smart money!)

If there is corresponding volume in 2008 options this allows them to play with their taxable income for 2007.

Do you know how many contracts are offered at each strike? Maybe 10000 is max. Isn't there a max number of contracts allowed?
If it can be cornered, it will.
