have not posted for a bit, the short term cyclic picture has been unclear. for those studying hurst, i think the evidence is adding up that the 8/16 low was a cycle straddle low as the result of fundamental interaction overriding the cyclic action. 8/06 was probably the actual nest of cycle lows. makes little difference to the bigger picture, which is bullish as we have seen a trough for the 4.5 yr, 78/80wk, 40 wk, and all smaller cycles. i've been waiting for a test of the 8/06 low to start building a long es position, my plan was to see if SPX cash would tag it's lower 2% envelope ( the vicinity of the 8/06 low) and start scaling in. it did not get there so i've had to chase the es up today. long about a 1/3rd position at avg 1448.50.

if i'm correct about the cycle straddle a nominal 5 wk low should arrive next week. it should be above the 8/06 low and yesterdays' low. if that plays out i'll be 100% long at that point for an intermediate hold, expecting new all time highs.

I love it when you predict a low near the 3/4 moon!
I'm with you and bought this morning's dip.
Thanks for your posts, as always!
