We could end up having a low volatility decline. Along with that, VIX could actually drop along with stock prices. Would that not confuse everyone?

You mean the 73-74 decline.....Nickle and dime you to deadth?......Day after day of very slow decline thru out the day.....But that was before the internet.....Everyone can push that sell button now, at the same time....

I was a retail broker during the 73-74 decline. What I remember was the noise the that mechanical tape made. When volume was low, which was usually the case, it would screeech and squeak like it needed oil.
Every now and then there would be a rally and the tape would rattle. That was a relief.
