But some admin told me that bankers know much more than I know. 
10 trading days ago CFC was $26 bucks

That or they've got other plans.
As a rule, industry insiders making cash investments are not such a good fade.
I will admit, however, that I have little inclination to dig into the financials on these and figure out what all the motivations are and I'm not sure that I have enough expertise in big banking to judge. I'm not going to be putting money into CFC any time soon, regardless.
