what Summation levels typify bull markets?

I realize the Summations are improving, but do you consider them at a level that confirms an uptrend is in play...something more than a bounce off the low?

or are you anticipating that the Summations will move back to a level that is typical of a rising market?

Hiker, I don't usualy look at summation levels, just at the direction. I know levels are important, but if you look at the summation vs market chart, when summations are rising, the markets are rising. Rising summations = more advancers then decliners. Simplistic approach. Of coruse summations above zero is better then below zero, but frankly, doesn't matter for IT trends.

Summations were extremely oversold. I think absolute oversold level was very important.

There is a chart in that topic. Summations vs market.

the put/call equity/index ratio is very close to a buy for me and some other things are not supporting a short position. i just closed the er2 but keeping the es with an even tighter stop.
