Nav Denleo agreed! I'm expecting a long very soon on S&P but I'm expecting Vxn to raise sharply before... Confusing but let it work through the next week! Oil topping in action. jmho

The S&P 500 will stay in bullish mode as long as the dollar trend is down. Almost guaranteed earning increases from the multi-nationals. Sales could be flat and earnings will go up. When the dollar turns up and holds...I would tighten up a trailing stop and have my eyes on the exit.

SP.GIF Based on the above, I don't think the commercials have anything over the other S&P traders over the last year. They were net short from 1340 up to 1460, net long from about 1480 down to 1375. If anything it looks to me like the large specs fared a little better than anyone else.

I want to clarify something about my trading positions, there is the investment, trading and hedging portion of my portfolios. I am nearly fully long in the investment accounts and I fully expect SPX 1700 or so for them, flat in the trading since I expect short term volatility. My guess for the immediate direction is up for Monday, but down by the middle of the week and then another much better rally at the end of the week, probably by/at the payroll data. I expect somewhat lower in the second half of the month thereafter. This is how I am planning to trade. I will lighten a little bit in the investment accounts, if the market extends this week and buy them back later in the month... - kisa
