Maybe I'll try that internet Magic Jack thing. You know ... it's not the piddly bit of money that I care about ... the sum is meaningless ... it's getting scammed by a company that should be doing things correctly. I really dislike being swindled ... just because they think you're too stupid or lazy to notice what they're doing. I have NO idea if they do it intentionally ... but have NEVER had them accidentally under bill me. And if it's just an honest error ... then it should work both ways, but in my experience, it never does ... they always come out on the better end, unless YOU hold them accountable. Swine ... pure and simple. Happy Wednesday, C.C. :)

Well this is the downside of FREE ENTERPRISE, for the customer anyway. We do need a good balance from govt regulation, so they can get a piece of your pie also :-). I've had similar experiences with merchandise credit card returns where the merchants NEVER post the credit!!! Anybody found an easy way to check charges and returns without the tedious line by line checking of statements? ---Out

Actually, just simple consumer attention, publicity, and occasional law suits should fix it just fine. Willful acts, of course, can bring criminal prosecution.

But we can't be passive. You can't give them an inch, all to often. The more institutional they are, the worse that they can be. It's funny. Like both ends of the ladder are prone to the most misbehavior.
