If oil and the OIH crater, this market is in big trouble IMO.
World inventories are declining in Q3, a time when they traditionally build due to a seasonal trough in global demand. Maybe we get a dip but I'm a buyer if it arrives. My guess is the next energy correction comes once we get data showing declining YOY US gasoline/CL demand...which I think is coming soon.

There's plenty of oil stocks out there like OXY (virtually all E&P) selling at 8 to 10 times forward earnings---with $75-80 oil going forward. Some of these red chip plays have balance sheets similar to tech companies (plenty of net cash for buybacks). If you look you can uncover plays that are actually growing production--like OXY--and have primarily CL exposure. NXY is also a great play as is APA.
