For the record, I also think anyone who puts their toilet paper roll in overhand vs underhand configuration are barbarians.

Somehow this is the post in the thread that gives me the greatest hope for America and her people.

Well, you should get over it. Most of the posters on this thread are missing the BIG picture. It's all about GREEDY Government.

The Gummint of the US is in the process of destroying us economically because they cannot live within their means. (Then again, maybe they just don't WANT to... as it's too much fun to spend somebody else's money.)

1. Constant deficit spending. Military, war, social, entitlement, consituent pork projects... you name it.

2. National debt which they have zero intention of every "repaying in kind". That is, the "money" debt will be repaid with will be worth much, MUCH less than when borrowed.

3. American citizens also living beyond their own means.... going further and further into debt for consumption... and with no intent of ever repaying. (Yes, they will refi their homes to temporarily zero-out their credit card balances, but they soon have new credit card balances. One day when the "home = ATM" concept breaks down, they will simply default because they can do no other.) The Gummint shares responsibility here. They've set the example and encouraged it.

This is not a new story. History is rife with the same theme. America is on the path to 3rd World economic status... and we've done it to ourselves*.

*more accurately, a greedy and corrupt government has done it to its people without our recognition, understanding, nor consent

Interesting post... The first guy says, "Look at yourself from the outside point of view, think by yourself, analyze, and don't be brainwashed". The other guy answers, "I live in the best FREE country in the world where I can tell anything on any corner, but I have nothing new to say other than FOX already told me tonight". I see no difference between current USA and USSR 30yrs ago, between Washington Post and Pravda. The same brainwash that spreads PRIDE and FEAR cocktail, "Oh, we're the best, but watch out! Enemy at the gate! Save the world! Freedom for Afganistan! etc..." 80% strongly believe in that [bleeeep] because they can't THINK!

You are more correct than you know. Economically, America is heading for Soviet Russia's situation before the collapse too.... Waaayy too much government and mostly poor people.

I have never seen or read so much politics, hate, and discontent in a trading board thread as have been allowed to go this long and far. If you dont like America leave. But dont clutter a traders board with assine statements. mss
