Before you start trading get your brain around risk control. Know how much leverage you're using and know when to go to cash if you're wrong.

Except SOX is in the gutters.. price pattern matches for the leg fairly well.

Nice charts!
Both show that broken up-trendline which increases bearishness.
Then comes the retest and finally a break-through which brings out the bulls.

Good call dc...
SOX from that time period is clearly leading...so I guess the question becomes "what's the new sox?"

Currently, NDX is benefitting strongly from a gigantic scorch in biotechs. Thats one reason.

A couple of suggestions of sectors that could potentially be considered as leaders in the NAS...
Full disclaimer - this is NOT my insight, ( I wish...) Fib has been speaking to the whole issue of new leadership in the NAS during the chats.

CURRENT CHART FOR COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

(looks pretty close to the SOX chart from the 2003 period...)
Which makes me wonder if there could actually be an intential effort to push the SOX into the gutter to primarily distract attention from the surge in other technology related sectors and also to keep folks looking for the big crack down while all these other sectors and the Nas as a whole marches right up the wall of semi-worry...
Of course maybe it's just time for the SOX to step back as a normal biz cycle type thing...and I should check the conspiracy theories at the door...
Totally...beat me to the post before I could dig that chart out...
Those Teaparty charts that he posted the other day seem real appropriate here - BBH, HHH and the various tech hardware components seem to be the new generals...
