It's a pretty odd coincidence that Bitcoin / altcoins all surged at the beginning of the year. Well Bitcoin was on a tear basically since the Fed's money printers started(officially). Speaking of the PMs, silver ripped at the beginning of the year. Odd that reddit is now somehow mainly being attributed to the surge in silver buying even though any major GME profits wouldn't be instantly liquid for most redditors to go out and hoard physical silver all of a sudden. I think something way bigger is going on and at least cryptos and PMs seem to be on for the ride.

"Buy a good stock. If it goes up, sell it. If it goes down, don't buy it."
Will Rogers, Okie investor in California ocean front property.
In the early 1930’s, Will Rogers was the popular and highest paid actor in Hollywood. H
His 186 acre ranch in Pacific Palisades, California became a California State Park in 1944.
His simple goal was to spent $5,000 and just build a weekend cottage. In 1925, Will was given the title "Honorary Mayor of Beverly Hills," becoming the first and (to date) only person so honored as such. He continued to develop his Palisades property and built a polo field on the property in 1926. In 1928, the Rogers Family moved from Beverly Hills to the Pacific Palisades area and made his new ranch their home. Will’s ranch originally had a Los Angeles city address (noted in its National Register listing) and was often referred to as his Santa Monica Ranch, because of its location at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Weird coincidence in wording from an article I just read:
"We see crypto assets as more like digital gold," and "There's less demand to spend bitcoin."

If you are talking that far out, surely we will have gotten an asteroid or two that have orders of magnitude more gold in them. Once those come in, gold is toast as something that expensive except in jewelry or something.
