HARRISON, Ark. -- Arkansas' tobacco tax increase is starting to register with nicotine addicts who are stocking up on cigarettes to satisfy their future cravings.
A carton of Winston Ultra Lights, for example, right now in Missouri costs $27. In Arkansas it's $32. Come Sunday, it'll cost $40 for a carton in Arkansas.
"I'm not going to pay, you know $40 or $50 a carton for stuff I can get for $30," said Lidey.
A lot people are fired up about burning more money. They say they'll just cross the border.
