Pension funds are liquidating and hedgies are shorting. It will end when it ends. When it does it should be a doozy. I don't want to be out of my core position when it happens.

if one is out of their core, then it wasnt core.
hgnsi =6.3%
market vane bullish consensus=56% all time lows were 55%(august 7th was the low reading)
stepping back, gold has made higher highs or been up 12 years in a row. that has to be some kind of record.
this correction has been about 17months. it may need longer to consolidate.?!?!?!?? the miners have forced quite a few splattered bugs to capitulate. i have no doubt that the 21-22 month cycle will produce new highs, after that , the correction could chew up more time. ?!?!?
here is the balance sheet of japan

this is the usa balance sheet. now normally, when this breakout occurs gold has already broken out

sooner or later, gold will re enter its climb higher. i dont have a crystal ball. markets have been manipulated, since their inception. if you have read jesse livermore, then you know that. i dont put any emphasis or concern on manipulation, i just assume it is occurring. always.
it was not volker rising rates into the stratosphere that caused gold /silver to plummet . it was the exchange(along w/the commercials , the exchange members were short silver) that caused the bull to end. no buying of silver contracts allowed. only selling. well it wasnt a surprise, what happened next. locked limit down on silver for quite some time.
dont believe me , do some research.

I'm thinkin maybe miners might capitulate below May low of last yr, that's would be below HUI 372 and GDX 39.08, for now I am going to wait for that. I think ABX earnings out tomorrow so we will see what that brings. I'm flat

39 goes and the possibility of a multi year H&S top in GDX is triggered targetting 20's

not likely though

A long-term view of GDX shows that while equities peaked in 2007, GDX was in a range between 31 and 41. Perhaps that is its natural range:

On a shorter term basis, I don't think this has bottomed yet:

i put the guy who claims to have bought gold @21 an oz on ignore. interesting , to me when a consolidation takes place , guys want to feud. most of my $$$ is in the metal. i do have a substantial miner position , which i have no doubt will pan out. i dont look @this thing on a day to day basis. the pattern on the monthly gold chart is still quite encouraging. sure the metal can break down, and get into alignment that way w/the miners. its a possibility. lets talk about this market in a few years and then see where it is @. i learned last time , when you buy gold , you are taking on the cbs directly. their vehicle is fiat. which most of the time, is the vehicle of choice. i do little trading in this sector. good luck to all dharma

some decent earnings and more importantly norte stock reactions in ABX, AEM. KGC. Treading muy lightly but ya need this kinda stuff at importante lows. No clear signs yet, I took another stab this mornin at Nugt and GDXJ, using tight stops. BSing away Senor
