Everybody and their brother is scared to death of the Fed tomorrow.

That is why the VIX has been climbing along with SPY the last few weeks.

However, retail and consumer discretionary sector investors are not the least bit worried, XRT and XLY still pinned at record highs.

Hands down, the most incredible runs ever recorded.

A lifetime worth of gains in just over 4 years.

If everybody and their brother is scared to death of the Fed tomorrow, everybody and their brother must be bears...

All 30 Dow stocks up at the moment, 18 of the top-20 weighted NDX up today and two barely down.

However, getting pretty close to capitulation for the bears on this swing. Would be tempted to lighten up on a hard rise into the close today. Otherwise, tomorrow might indeed be sell the news (and might not be if the NYSI goes positive).

Good luck and good trading.

Just pay attention to your signals. I'm gratified by the rally. I also know that Ben isn't going to just lay there while folks undo his work. Folks know that too. But somewhere in here, we have the makings for some real trouble. If there's no change in character, fine. If there's no break down, fine. But if/when there is, we'd better respect it. Mark

Agreed, but front running a "change of character" could be "just a bit" painful, as well. The trouble you speak of is like divergence in my book-only potential till it ignites.

We were a day from a Sell. I was prepared to start selling after the news. It was strong, which is good, but I'm going to respect the sells at this time of year.

Sure. Although it's funny how few technicians think the break of the downtrend line and the neckline break of the inverted head and shoulders matters-just saying...

Well I hear a lot of opinions based on measurements taken on one patient (US Market). In my work I look at a lot of patients... Currencies, Global Indices, Commodities, Sectors... It's pretty easy to make one patient look good when his umbelical cord is hooked up to a printing press. But the rest of the patients in the ward are looking pretty sick. Viruses spread pretty quick in a hospital ward. Take care...
