there new highs for gsv, those gaps will be filled at some point

my work shows gold taking out the highs before a correction begins. i think the miners will correct 25%  before its over and that will present another great buying opportunity

one thing that gets me ruffled is gross, druckenmiller, gundlach etc are paraded out trade w/the big boys.

well in 79-80  that was the slogan. buy silver trade w/the hunts.  it worked until the commercials and exchange members got together and changed the rules.  only selling of silver allowed.

surprises in a bull are on the upside

bulls climb a wall of worry

the dollar/yen is risk off.  watching just the dollar is a mistake.

i just sold gsv 3.07 it was a  tough decision. but it doubled in 3 days and i started buying it @ .38  anyway, hopefully i can come back to this one.  i expect it to trade alot higher , before it gets taken out.  on that note. the down cycle in gold  from 11 -15 left the majors mining their high grade deposits.   my guess is their reserves are depleted , especially the high grade deposits. there will be another buying frenzy soon. i had clgrf and kmkgf both of which were taken out.  i look for takeovers to accelerate.   and gsv has ocanf and gg as owning parts of their company.    its not just gsv but many other miners are in good locations w/good drill holes . and feasibility studies .  i dont know when , but it will be fairly soon

india has been absent from the gold market for longer than usual  w/diwali coming up i expect that to change   http://www.reuters.c...d-idUSL3N1AR4IN

for those interested in oil  here is curry in a hurry take http://www.bloomberg...ot-fundamentals

i do think that this leg ends soon. and i want to raise cash.  but i dont think this leg is over yet, yes , i read hadik yesterday.  and him i do respect, but my work shows this lasting until later in the month and i do think new highs for gold is a real possibility

i appreciate hearing others opinions. i do my own work draw my own conclusions

the hgnsi =36.96%  not a level where i would expect a top.  i expect real excitement at the top.  monday is a turn date for me.  lets see if we bottom then.  as the miners go higher and higher, other fund managers are forced into the sector.  its a self perpetuating thing.

trump is the outsider. i cant see the fed doing anything that would jeopardize hillarys coronation.  when they raised in december , the stock market had a hard time .  w/the election i cant see them raising in sept.

Just so happens I sold my position in GSV yesterday and today..  Did not do as well as you though as I sold @ $2.47 and $2.87.  A big congratulations is in order for you........started buying @ .38 and selling @ $3.07.  clapping.gifflowers.gifclapping.gif I can't see where it gets any better than that.

I am definitely on the hunt for new and old companies to buy including, as you mentioned, getting back into GSV at some lower price.  Perhaps an opportunity this fall. Of course I still own some explorers and a few small to mid tier producers so there is something available to catch any nearer term higher prices.  I did buy a small position in DUST yesterday as a kind of hedge. Will see what happens.  So far it is at a tiny loss.  Thanks for the updates and links.

Best to you. smile.png

we seem to be near a turn down here.

WE made almost the 38% retrace of teh entire sell off in GDX

And gold is at the top of a well defined channel.

No one is seeing  a sell off of magnitude here, myself included though i have raised some cash.

That maybe because August and September historically are very good months for gold so not looking for a large selloff here.  I do think we get a correction soon perhaps to ~1300.  On the other hand it just may take off to the upside.  Will know soon enough.  I am looking for a large correction in the fall so have lots and lots of dry powder for buying bargains at that time.  If that doesn't work out then I will just hold my nose and jump in. blink.png
