my feeling is we are going higher to at least semis numbers.  then whereever we correct to will be more significant.  now, the miners, have gained significantly more than gold, they will give up a larger %   corrections will not last longer than 3 months so keep that in mind.  buying the 14 and 15 lows had been quite profitable in here in 16.  as long as the fed remains behind the curve  it is very favorable to own pms and shares.  at the lows miners were offering real value, its still the case today.

jg, i do research on miners . then i see if insiders are active on the stocks they represent. eg the one we talked about has had great insider participation recently.   then i make sure that the issue is not going to go to market to raise cash.  now on the correction, which should happen i will also look to see if the issue has participated in the rally, for explorers i want to see good upside.  now gg has been a laggard, i expect them to catch up. i was accumulating svbl, and then saw sprott did 2 private placements in the company, which is a sign that he and his team feel this company offers value,   the miners will continue up . the fed wants 2% inflation, they will get that and more, which the fund managers will step forward and buy miners for protection.   if your view is we are going to have stagflation or inflation, then silver will be a buy on this pullback as well, as silver will outperform in this environment.  now i am not offering investment advice. do your own dd. as i openly admit i am a student.

awhile back someone posted stansberrys 5 picks  there were some good ones on that list.  hope that gives some ideas

now martys #s will be taken out. how will he spin that! what amazes me this guy was arrested for bilking folks out of there money and his spin was he was arrested because the govt wanted his code and our hero refused to give up the code  and then his innocence surfaced and they let him go.    oh and you can participate in this code for a fee.  so far the dow, dollar and gold have not listened to the code. but dont worry he will change the spin.

btg is raising 100million  and the stock is up, this shows that miners have a bid under them, of course as i write this the stock has now turned negative

gold is in a pennant, when the breakout occurs is any ones guess. but the pattern is a continuation pattern which should lead to higher prices.

i have shown charts from graceland which shows miners/gold have been in a 20yr bear market.  i suspect this is going to change in a big way over the next 4-6 years. i think miners will be the tech stocks of the 90s . there have been no significant new finds for a decade

RBC announced over the weekend that "We reiterate our view that investors should look to gold equities for exposure to gold, especially given the increasing free cash flow generated in the current gold price environment." rbc says gold stock investors should buy any weakness

banks in germany are now charging folks to store their money in the bank.   i am feeling more and more that the miners will hold a much more significant position in most folks portfolio. miners are still undervalued gold has yet to be realized as a greater store of value than fiat. the fact that there have been no significant finds over the last several years and negative/0 interest rates are here and banks like in germany are starting to charge folks to store their money at the bank. leads me to have a strong feeling miners will become the new tech stocks of the time. i have built a fairly significant, for me, position in ....

so, while i think a correction is coming. and it will be fairly significant  i feel that the miners 1st leg is a sign of things to come

I guess negative rates are like a stealth Bail-in...

If they build that cash drag on a recurring basis, it's probably better longer term than a one-time much larger haircut...

gold/silver are both in continuation patterns , when the pattern gets resolved i do see a minimum of 1400 . what the catalyst will be , i have no idea . there is the fed minutes, jackson hole coming up  etc.   this market has changed , the investors in the market now are institutional money , where before it was gold bugs.  the public working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. are not in the stock market. or gold market. there is a larger correction coming after this top.  the backdrop however, is very favorable for the gold market

oil may have finished its correction.

Even pigs can fly for a while in this environment Dharma, like NAK that you had a look recently.

yes tria, every once in a while nak gets my attention. they have a big find., but i doubt they ever get permitted. if they do watch out.interesting u bring up nak

i am spending my time exploring into possibilities to buy after this rise and then the correction occurs

there are still explorers that are under valued.

today , the market will wait on the fed.   which at this point doesnt surprise me . however they are clueless.   the public is largely broke and out of the market.  we do have an election coming up .

so in 3 hours we find out what they said. of course jackson hole is coming up and then we get the latest.

back to research

i am lured by diamond miners too
