Semiconductor stocks went mental today.  Not only are MU, LRCX, AMAT, MCHP, NXPI, SWKS, AVGO, KLAC, MXIM, etc up a lot, a whopping 35 semiconductor stocks are now above their 50 DMA and 15 of these crossed their respective 50 day moving averages TODAY to the upside, most on heavy volume.

Thx Kaiser for the analysis - interesting on the semi's.

My LQ signals put medium/high odds ST LQ finally drops a bit tomorrow AM - and if so, i'd look for market to begin a move back toward 2550 or even 2530 ...then right now, a run to 2620 looks likely.

All the LQ signals have tons of negative momo divergences now ..amazing its hung in there..but each day up is smaller..and the close today was more negative  change - it's a similar to setup to jan 3'ish.

Here's update to the overall LQ chart I showed..maybe just rolling over a little now.

Yep - LQ dropped at open finally! ...and lo behold market drops toward 2550 ...2560 so far, now likely bounce attempt.

FYI - market does NOT always track LQ  100% correlation, only when LQ is the dominant buyer ... so this to me so far proves

the whole move is LQ -  normally there is at least a lag.

So I'll be watching how strong the ST LQ to SPX correlation is today - so far 1 to 1.

Thanks for your thoughts and charts!

Thx Waver ...glad ur enjoying them.

Catrader - thx for the wave count ...its certainly one valid count, but, as said in one of the videos', I tend  not worry about counts so much

when 'bots are dominant, because wave theory is routed in human emotions which the 'bots do not have.  I tend to look more at basic question,

is is impulsive or corrective ....the move up cd be either, but, I lean as ur count as its corrective.

FYI - ST LQ drop has now reversed up - market following 1:1 (LQ leading by few minutes) so gaps shd close here.

Where this bounce goes shd give better position on setup I posted above.

Cray-Zee but that turn back in  LQ  looks like start of new pulse. IF so ...well, I guess the end of the world was Nigh, hope

buy& hold longs send thx u notes to the FED :-)

so 2560 looks like that was it - and now off to new highs again above 2600  ...unless LQ turns down unexpectedly.

There IS now a DIVERGENCE between price and LQ ..slight one ..implying there is some selling again here, bots or humans or both.

But it won't get far against the GSB awash in ammo ..KP's it will easily defend down to 2570 ..only if that breaks is 'somethin'  changing'.

This is a real scalpers markets now last 2-3 sessions, turning fast at pivots etc

Oh wait,  I  just remembered the last LQ pulse started with Powell speech, so I checked and yep - :

"Two important speeches are scheduled from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Vice Chairman Rich Clarida. Powell is set to speak at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., at 12:45 p.m. ET, where he will be delivering prepared remarks before taking questions."

So lets see if this changes anything  -

BTW - the systemic problem..doing some detective work..looks like a blow up in the OIL/GAS area not currency related.

So whole market drop in Dec - and reverse cd be related to this.

And the Trump administration deems the US-China trade negotiation important enough that it wants to do it from a position of strength.  A rising or stable market is desirable here.  Since Americans commonly consider China to be an adversary, it is not difficult to rally major players behind these buy/support programs.

I can't help but post an EW count (for the last time) in this thread:  (nice impulsive structure from this morning low)
