China sets up intellectual property court ahead of upcoming trade talks with US

BEIJING - China's new Intellectual Property (IP) Court will begin hearing cases in January, as the country moves to better safeguard intellectual property rights, an issue the United States has long complained about.

It comes under the top-level Supreme People's Court, and will primarily hear IP appeal cases.

Mr Luo Dongchuan, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court, told a press conference on Saturday (Dec 29) that the new court signals China's determination to protect IP rights.

It doesn't have any real affect.   The market went straight down after the temporary halt on new tariffs.  The recent monthly declines seem to have portfolio rebalancing favoring equities at the end of each month.  I would expect that bonds continuing to rally and the year ending for the weak Euro stocks is probably positive for rally to continue a little longer.

My work suggested Friday's sell was nerves about the weekend, though the long SAR signal is only hanging by a thread...  I also do not think the corrective fractal is over yet, but that this leg upward is wave-d:c:iv... twt.
