tried to add on at 184.80 and it kept going lower every time I modified my order. I finally got in at 184.46. worth a shot at a break down here. If S&P breaks 2800 watch out.

a couple things worry me here. #1 nice profit is now a small loss. #2 Vix hit 30 kinda high ST, LT it could hit 50 but that could take awhile. #3 I fully expect a pullback in Miners and Gold to a secondary buy signal. I think a market rally could cause that decline which off the cup measure is probably a 10-12% decline. Don't quote me on that. I have to refine as the decline unfolds, it's time and price. Breakdown in S&P did not occur. all this making me want to cover and maybe try again later in Sept.

I would agree with it. In fact have a small short position in gold. And looks like they produced enough negativity to push the market up now.
Just IMHO, and take me as a contrarian sign

trading IS difficult esp on the short side. I just wonder if we'll see 1706 Gold before it corrects and then, how much? for now I'm staying short with a larger position than I had thursday. I have to leave for work shortly so I'll just let it ride and see what the closing numbers look like.

Russell surprisingly strong. S&P doing well. despite this the gold stocks still holding up well. This QQQ short is getting tiresome.
