With all the asymptomatic cases one has to wonder what the mortality rate is with this.

I think most of the nation has it already and are either dealing with it at home or

have no symptoms. I still think it is airborne in the jet streams.

If it is in the jet streams the Chinese put it there.

Let's think about this in terms of war.

Nuke exchange ... we all die.

Internet attack e.g. take out grid ... we all die

Virus ... normal for it to start in China.  China, starts it, is prepared ... looks normal.  Other countries shut down as China starts up.  Economic suicide for them and China is prepared to take the economic lead!

Italy and Spain beg to differ with this epidemiologist"s take.  However, to put things in perspective, the annual death rate for influenza in the US is about 0.1%.  So far Covid 19 has claimed 1% of the infected in the US.  Therefore, one could say Covid 19 is about 10 times more lethal than influenza.  If that is the case, then measures taken and more severe measures coming are very appropriate and necessary.

Yes but if the measures are appropriate now then why did they not take these measures in 1969 during the Hong Kong Flu, when 1 million people died in 1 year  time frame ?  Nothing was shut down then or quarantines.

https://en.wikipedia...68_flu_pandemic

So now they are shutting down the whole world, but back then nothing was shut down ??? why ????

That tells me that this virus now is more a trigger mechanism for what was already an overdue cyclical decline due and a huge debt crisis which we are engaging in now.

What about the cases that are not counted, with those factored in, its lower than 1 percent.

come on folks

the corona virus is created by Bats - that is a scientific fact

China has the exact type of bat that produces corona virus and they eat them

they also have an extremely densely packed population just like bats do

let me ask you this - lets say you are correct and it was a biological attack by China - what would have been different if it was a naturally caused outbreak ?

All of this chaos in the markets are more from just the virus.

The virus popped the bubble.

Its not going to be a V shape recovery.

The long term damage to the charts have happened.
Long way to the true bottom. There will be pit stops along the way, like this week.
