On Dec 23 2022, over 1,000,000 Americans were without power from winter storms.
Then, last week a second freezing "Global Warming" winter storm hit.

EV power sources are still not ready for prime time.

At one point, more than 400,000 Texas homes and businesses were without power, though that figure had dropped to just under 215,000 by Friday afternoon, according to poweroutage.us.
As of Saturday night there are still about 1,700 outages, affecting about 68,000 Austin customers, spending a fifth day in the dark.

Austin originally said it would restore all power by 6 p.m. Friday.
“It’s unacceptable that we don’t have the infrastructure so that we can get through a winter storm that lasts three days,” said a North Austin resident.
“You failed us! You failed us completely”

"Progressive" Austin Texas Electric vehicle owners are still "powerless" ...unless they have GASOLINE powered generators.  LOL!

I wonder if there is any environmental issues with raging E-Battery fires...

And forget about any environmental damage from mining lithium.

And the child-labor used in the mining...

"Just Charge It!"

As electric cars use grows, fears NYC charging stations won't meet demand...

The problem may become more acute as the city Taxi and Limousine Commission eliminates its limit on the number of electric vehicles that operate as app-based rideshares.

Of the 78,000 cars currently authorized by TLC as app-based rideshares, roughly 2,200 are electric vehicles, TLC data shows. The TLC expects the fleet to be 25% electrified by the end of 2026. If that happens, roughly 19,500 electric for-hire vehicles will be on the street.

All of them will be hungry for scarce electric chargers, say researchers with the U.S. Department of Energy and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. “[T]he existing charging network in New York City is not adequate even in the most optimistic scenario,” researchers with the two agencies said in an April 2022 study.

InsideEVs drove a dual-motor Cybertruck through the night to see how far the EV would go on a full charge, he got a total of 254 miles, 20% less than the advertised 320 miles. That test was done at a relatively constant speed of 70 miles per hour while the outside temperature was about 45 degrees

The Cybertruck that passed 10,000 miles is doing even worse in terms of range, but there’s an explanation. The two drivers who are using the EV said that the maximum range with a full battery was 206 miles and 164 miles with an 80% state of charge.

With an EV truck, you should always tow another truck to drive when the battery dies! LOL.

This will save stress, money, and the environment! NOT!
