When Covid hit and many businesses began allowing working at home, You had to stand in line at the Home Depot paint desk.

The last few times that I was in there...no customers. Much of the paint is now like $50 a gallon or more.

I see some people seeing the prices and turning around in shock.

I look for the mis-matched cans for $15. My neighbors love all of the new colors! LOL

Like Vegas, "When you're Hot, you're Hot. When you are not you're not."

PS: Many of their items are now behind locked bars because stealing is no longer a crime..

FWIW, I just returned from HD. I was there at 3:30 on a Friday. The paint desk was 7 or 8 deep. Took me a little more than a half hour to get paint matched and mixed. They seemed pretty busy for a winter week day afternoon.

After X-mas there is a lull. Now Spring is just around the corner.

Yard and Garden preparation.

Home sellers are busy too.

(My friend just sold his in 3 days. Another friend sold his and closed on his newly built one on the same day, yesterday!)

I looked at HD lawnmowers recently but my home-made Radio Controlled mower is still my go-to.

I need to buy another pair of $4 HD reading glasses. (Chick magnet)

I fertilized and seeded the lawn today.

Cleaned out the shed.

More to do. Re-do the deck. Seal the driveway.

Clean the pool. Plant the flowers and garden.

Move the tropicals out of the garage.

Tomato & Arugula seedlings need re-potted already.

But I'm pooped.

Hopefully, tomorrow's another day.

My Sileno city robot mower is still going strong in 4th year. Mows entire backyard without any supervision. When it's battery gets low, robot finds it's own way to charging station, when fully recharged, resumes mowing. It makes no noise while mowing.

Backyard size is 55 feet wide and 50 feet deep with 2 large trees. The guide wire buried underground avoids robot mower from bumping into trees and fence.

Another benefit of robot mower is the clippings are minute and never need to be raked. The clippings disintegrate and provide nutrients to grass. Also the constant motion of robot seems to discourage moles.
