I can remember exactly where I was when I heard the news about the collapse of LTCM (and of course 9/11 and Kennedy's Assassination)
I wasn't around for Pearl Harbor (Dec 7, 1941)
It's always something.

Warning: Staring at this chart could cause a nosebleed. Today was all about the generals - googl +12%, tsla +6%, nvda +3% - whereas the nyse was almost unchanged for the day at +0.05%.

Armstrong warning something is not right and markets are starting to roll over, there are panic cycles for some markets like Nasdaq near year end.

Middle tier restaurants are hurting/closing (Red Lobster, TGIF, Cracker Barrel, etc) as Dollar stores are also hurting.
Me thinks it's the middle class feeling the pain.
I think the future is in the 1 bedroom shopping cart business.
