Not to belittle the importance of attending to one's balls, but is this really the forum for that?

What a sad investment vehicle this has been - and this chart is even adjusted for dividends.

come on it's a forum, although we talk mainly about finance why can't we derail sometimes towards less heavy arguments ?

don't worry, all that counts is to make money in the stock market, all the rest counts nothing, included all my digressions around whatever comes to my mind.

Have tried doing that but it never seems to really work

I think I know why yours seems to never work. Mine came with a pump provided with a manometer. I pump the air inside up to 30 psi. On sunday morning before getting to the court, I free the air inside and the balls are perfect

as they were new. The real advantage, apart the very little money that you save given that tennis balls cost nearly nothing, is that you play with the same bounce every time. Usually, tennis balls are over not because of their surface

that is finished, but because of their internal pressure that is no longer like it was when they were new, so that they literally don't bounce. Now that problem is over.

Might as well throw another random thought into this thread - I mean what harm can it do? - the highly technical and interesting ball pressure problem appears to be pretty thoroughly talked out. smile.png

Wonder why a stock would appear to have a pivotal level in nominal terms for almost 40 years. A 1987 dollar is officially (BS) worth about $2.78 today.

LOL, thank you, now that the tennis ball pessure problem has been fully debated, I could say that I'm waiting for the delivery of the new tennis strings I've ordered and could also speak about all the advantages that I expect them to

provide. I'm joking.

Tennis is the only sport I enjoy watching or participating in - apart from badminton - if that counts.  But it's probably been 25+ years since I picked up a racket. Don't have friends that play. Also have other interests that seem to dominate my time.  At my age I'd probably blow an ankle or knee if I tried to compete on the court.  Recently watched a poor copy of the Riggs/King contest trying to decide whether he threw the match or not. I think he played to win but was taken to the woodshed by a formidable and determined opponent. Or maybe that's just what I want to believe - guess we can never know with certainty.
Tell us about your strings - maybe you will eventually persuade me or someone else to get off our keisters and get some exercise.

well, you asked me, so how can I subtract myself from responding to your question ?  LOL.

I'm going to try these strings:

https://www.racketpe...uch-natural-125

it's a powerfull multifilament with remarkable elasticilty and arm friendly behavior. Currently using another good multi, I want to see which one is better.
