I think your strings may cost more than my last racket.  Funny - they're made of "natural" synthetic polyamide.  Doubtful that I could notice any difference from the cheapest to the most expensive.
Just looked in the dusty corner where the old rackets are parked.  Wiped years of crud off the case of my latest racket, a Prince Response 110, circa 1987.  There's a nice looking copy on ebay listed for $15. Also my son's Wilson quad graphite and a late '70s Chris Evert racket - could be one of the last of its breed. Don't know what became of my first racket, a Wilson Kramer Cup, as I recall.

The Tour 2.0 looks like a good practical choice - it has a large sweet spot for its size. I believe it's the same weight as that old Prince.  Can't find much data on the Prince. It always seemed like too much racket for me. I think I'd like to try something lighter, but my sloppy swing could use a big sweet spot. I read that swingweight should be the starting point in choosing a racket - but how does one determine his/her most compatible swingweight? I like the feel of a large grip, but wonder if a smaller grip might somehow be better. What a can of worms - should probably be content staying immobile and exercising my mouse.

From the article that I referred to in my previous post :

''...Andy Murray, che in carriera ha sempre utilizzato una particolare versione delle Head Radical realizzata però partendo dallo “stampo” della Pro Tour.''

Translation :

''...Andy Murrey, who in his career, has always used a particular version of the Head Radical, realized starting from the mold of the Pro Tour''

I used to play with a Head Prestige Pro 600 till four years ago, when Head came out with this limited edition of the Pro Tour 2.0 which is very similar to the Prestige Pro 600 and both are very similar to the Radical.

All these frames more or less are very very similar.

Andre played with an oversize version.  I wonder what's the largest string area available on a standard decent quality racquet.s-p-gold.png

I play with a midsize 98in!!  I started with the first oversized radical which was great at the baseline but not so much at the net.  I've been playing more doubles so the midsize is way better at the net!!
